Installing Tsunami Sound Into The New Intermountain Heritage Gevo
Posted by willjayna on Sunday, August 11, 2013 8:47 PM

Hey guys,

I had a question about the installation of a Tsunami TSU-1000 sound decoder into one of the new Intermountain NS heritage units. I recently purchased 2 of these units (the Southern & Interstate) and the Southern came with Lok sound and the Interstate was just plain DC/DCC.

After testing the Southern with Lok Sound I decided to use a Tsunami decoder for the Interstate and sell the Southern because I hate the sound and programming on the ESU decoder. My apologies to the Lok Sound fans out there.

I have done plenty of Tsunami installs but this is my first install where LED's are present. I was curious if anyone has installed this decoder in any of the IM Gevos. I am a bit hazy on what wires from the 3 LEDS go to what wires off the decoder. I do have the trucks, motor and speaker wired in already and the engines runs and sounds great but I need some guidance on the installation of the lights.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will

Headlight=white, rear light=yellow, either ditch light=brown(F5) and the other=green(F6).With LED's,resistors are required for each one and they all use the blue wire (common).
