I'm holding off on sound until the TCS decoders hit the street. I read somewhere that will be RSN (real soon now).
Way to go Gary.

Hi,
I'm an HO guy and just want to express my admiration for anyone that can wire in a sound decoder/speaker into N scale locos! WOW!
ENJOY !

Thank you Pete, I may have to splurge and get one for each of my current loco's I'll find a way to shoehorn it into an Atlas RS1 shell yet!

While I am mostly HO scale I have installed a couple of sound decoders in N scale steam locos. I am perfectly happy with the Loksound Select brand of decoder. Their micro size should be a good fit. I stuffed one in the ash pan of an HO scale switcher tucked under the motor.

I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
Which Decoders will I need for a Kato AC4400CW and a Kato SD70MAC?
I will also be getting a DCC system soon.
