You could use it to run trains around the Christmas tree?

Seeing as you do not want to mix DCC systems I would suggest that if you have a separate test track for running in engines it would be fine. Or as already suggested use it for your Christmas tree display set.

Well,not as a throttle anyway, BUT

~You could keep it as CUDAKEN can attest- your Digitrax may give out and you may be glad you have the EZC to fall back on to run traisn while yours gets fixed or get a new one..

~you could keep it for the children or grandhcildren to run trains on a small layout. they won't care it is a EZ C adn will be "cehap"s set up for them in DCC.

~That, and what I AM doing...the under the tree layout in Nscale now converted to DCC with the B EZC.

~ OR give it away here to someone who can use it and wants to convert to DCC. {you cannot sell on here ,but there is no rule against giving it away}

No it could not be used for a throttle for the Digitrax.   As the others suggest it could be used for portable, show, or Christmas tree train type layouts.   I have MRC-2000 that does that.    You could give it to the children for their "layout" (that's what I did with my 2nd MRC-2000).   You could donate it to someone who doesn't have one.   The Youth in Model Railroading group is starting to get some donated.   We turn them around to student's who show a genuine interest that we feel will make good use of them.

One of the most common questions on this board is:  Should I upgrade to DCC? I want to but can't afford it. You could help them try it out.

Do what I did, sell it on Ebay. I got back at least half of what I paid for it.

Nikolai,

If you do decide to sell it, let me know.  I may be interested in it for MY Christmas tree. Big Smile

Use your power supply from your old computer. It has both 5V and 12V.
