Thanks, that was it, that little bleeping bugger between F11 and F12. Made my day.
Track power could be suspended. There is a little black dot on DT400 and DT402 throttles. It is located on the top riught hand side of the throttle display. An easy way to find it is to turn on F11 and F12. the dot will be right between the 11 and 12 on the screen. If there is no dot, track power is off. If the dot is flashing, track power is suspended. That means there is power on the track but no DCC packets are being sent. Headlights may be on but no control is possible in suspend mode. Press power then Y + again and the dot will stop flashing and be on constantly. Now track power and DCC packets are on. trains will run. Always check that black dot if nothing is running. It has frustrated more than I can think of.
When you say the track power indicator on the throttle is 'on' - is it ON, or is it BLINKING? The little dot on the display in the upper right needs to be ON. If it's blinking, the system is in idle mode and not sending any DCC packets to the track.
If the ON/YES button is bouncing, when you press power and then hit ON, it might be seeing two or more presses. If the track power dot is flashing, pressing ON again should set it to steady, and the trains should run. You do not have to first turn the track power off, then back on. If the ON/YES button is bouncing, you may have to send the throttle in for repair.

As in title. I power up the DCS100, plug in the throttle and all the relevant LEDs light up. Switches are at HO (the correct scale) and RUN. I press Track Power +, and the track power indicator on the DCS100 is lit.I have tried different voltage settings on the power supply; 13.8, 15, 16.8V.
BUT: the locomotives wont budge. I have to switch track power off and on and off and on, and only after a couple of minutes (sometimes more!) suddenly the locos finally do react to my command.
If this is a 'known issue' I havent found it on the web. Anyone here familiar with it?
many thanks in advance!
