Bachmann Tsunami Default Fact Sheets
Posted by BRAKIE on Thursday, March 7, 2013 10:49 AM

For those that might be interested I found the following Soundtraxx Tsunami default fact sheets for Bachmann DCC/Sound equipped locomotives..

For the Alcos:

http://www.soundtraxx.com/factory/OEM%2 ... fa2_sv.pdf

For the Steam engines:

http://soundtraxx.com/factory/OEM%20pag ... 6-0_sv.pdf

I used CV115 and selected chime horns for my Alco S4 and CV 114 to increase the bell ring rate.
I used CV128 to lower the overall sound..

I decided any future Bachmann DCC or DCC/Sound equipped locomotives will be used in the DCC mode.

I will add my happy experience.

First and foremost I like the ease of programing using my MRC Tech 6.

As far as the S4..All I can say is Bachmann seems to be stepping up to the plate.Great DCC/Sound equipped locomotive and the price was right..$99.00 plus $5.95 shipping.

Thanks for the info Larry.  I purchased an S2 but it's still in transit.  I'm anxious to get it and to try your suggestions.

For the Alcos:

I believe you meant, SoundTraxx Tsunami sheets

Bachmann has had a very active site for some time. The data sheets are there also but they re-direct you to the SoundTraxx site the last I knew.

Loco diagrams and how to return a defective product.

A couple Bachmann reps are there also.

Actually I found them by doing a google search.I knew they was Soundtraxx but, typed in Digitraxx..Bang Head

At any rate I thought these sheets may be needed by modelers since very litte CV information comes with the Bachmann sound equipped locomotives..

The SoundTraxx site does have a nice list of DCC documents that some fail to check. There are some for Factory Installed Decoders for different manufacturers, not only Bachmann. Some manufactures install stripped down Tsunami's. Let the buyer, beware if they are rivet counters.

I have belonged to the Bachmann forums for some time and you would be amazed at how many never think of looking around the Bachmann site for CV documents. They are easily found Some have to be led by the hand.

Ha, did you edit your OP? I didn't even think of Digitrax when I read it the first time, eventhough it may have said it. Not having the instructions enclosed in each box may seem inconvenient for some, but Bachmann probably figures that kind of stuff can be posted on the internet. Those papers always seem to get crumpled up anyway.

Actually I only been on the Bachmann site once..I figured a Google search would be faster then stumbling about on a web site I been on once and for me that was the better of the two options.

------------------------------------------.

Doug,Yes,I corrected my mistake..

If they do their GP7/9 like they did the RS3 I will buy one of each..Once I turn the volume down to a comfortable level I really it..My S4 must have been set a full volume.Laugh

The lack of supplied information is why I did a google search and in order to help others I post  the links..
