I have the above sound decoder It doesn't have the fn04k1 combo and I was
looking for the function mapping on the board for ditch lights and a cab light,
don't know if one exists or not or maybe some one on here knows. TIA Jim.

Pretty sure you need the function board to get enough functions to do ditch lights.

It has about 4 extra pads on it but there is no way to tell which is for what effect I saw a schematic once for it but cant find it now.

I believe you can hook up a function only decoder to the board since the FN04K1 is no longer availeable. The 2 outer holes on the decoder are for the track power. Hook up the power leads from the function decoder to these (black and red). Read the instuctions that came with the decoder. I'm sure this is stated in them some wheres.  Joe
