Rivarossi F8 convert to dcc question

It's also highly advisable to check the current draw of that motor before converting it to DCC.  I have had a couple of those old AHM locos with motors like that that drew over 2 Amps current.

Cut the metal clip going to the right motor brush. This is the electrical ground between the geared truck and the motor's brush. Once that's clipped, you wire it just like any other diesel.Smile

Does anyone know how to isolate the motor on a Rivarossi F8 unit,?  I'm stuck.  Any help is much appreciated
