I have a Digitrax Big Boy system with a 100a booster, and a DT200 Command Station / Throttle, a BT2 Buddy Throttle, and an older UT1 Throttle, which I purchesed all new in the late 1990's. I know I probably do not have to upgrade, but I think I want to. Question, do I just need to get a DCS100 which I believe acts as a Booster / Command Station, and then make my DT200 a full feature Throttle, or am I missinformed and need something else? Thanks,
Paul

Paul,
To upgrade from the Big Boy you really need a new command station and a newer throttle to take advantage of the new options available with the new command station.
A Zephyr extra would be the most economical way to go. The DCS51 would be the new command station. It has most of the capability of a DCS100 at half the cost. Zephyr can only handle 20 slots same as your DT200. In the price you will also get a built n throttle and a power supply. Both of which would need to be added to a DCS100 purchase.
All you would need to do is connect the Zephyr Extra to your DB100a with a loconet cable, and power it up. The jumper stays in place between Sync and Ground on the DB100a so it will still provide the power for the layout. Zephyr would be the command station and new throttle. No connection to the track would be needed. Your DT200 would still work as a throttle up to its own limitations. Two digit addressing and only 5 functions. The throttle on the DCS51 would be able to provide all of the features.
