just another dumb "newbee" [to DCC] question. can a Tsunami and QSI sound equipped loco's be run together [coupled] without a problem? i think this was discussed before, but need opinions. i just run a basic NCE Power Cab on a small layout. thanks. michael.

You should be able to MU them as well, so that you can use one throttle for both.   With Digitrax it's real easy, I'm not sure of NCE.   You can do this and they don't have to be coupled btw.  Kind of like a pusher, etc.

Speed matching may not be necessary, but probably is.  Just depends on how different their speeds are for any given throttle setting.

Another YES.

Consisting with NCE is also easy.  You should read the manual first, as always.  After that you should have no problems just looking at the throttle and pushing the right buttons.  Everything is labeled really clear.

Elmer.

The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.

(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.
