There is an NCE Yahoo Group that you should join.  They can give you this detailed type of information.

Elmer.

The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.

(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.

Can't program through the SB3A. You need to use the original PowerCab Panel and power supply, and plug in there like you did before the SB3A to program. You can plug the USB interface intot he other jack on the panel to connect JMRI.

NCE Help Needed
Posted by steam353 on Monday, April 16, 2012 2:55 PM

I'm looking for a schematic for hooking up this system that I can wrap my poor addled brain around.

I have a Powercab, SB3a, NCE Interface board, NCE UTP and a 4PDT switch (no partridge in a pear tree yet but I'm willing).  I'm looking for a drawing showing hookups, including labeled 2 pair vs 3 pair cables.  The NCE site isn't much help. I'd like to have a switchable programing track and be able to program CVs thru my laptop.  So far I've got the Powercab and SB3a going but I'm stuck on the next steps.

Thanks

Jerry
