Yup just like Rich and others said. I'm going through the same thing but haven't got the PC done for the layout. I thought I could get away with just the interface with Digitrax pr3, but you need the controller and JMRI doesn't support Bachmann anything even Bachmann Dynamis to my understanding won't work either, from what I've been reading, no LOCONET feature!
Personally I'll be upgrading to NCE. Bachmann owes me nothing, I've been using it for 7 years with no problems whatsoever with the exception of it's limitations, which, as you know are many by comparison. I'm gonna give my EZ Command to one of the neighborhood kids.

Dump the EZ Command as was suggested, if you want anything to do with PC or other software control.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Bachmann EZCommand is not compatible with Loconet. However, Loconet can work stand alone with the right accessories but it cannot control your trains without a Digitrax command station. EZCommand is a very primitive system. If you have decided to use Loconet, you might as well take the step you will eventually need to. Upgrade to a Digitrax starter system.

Systems are not compatible at the command station/throttle side. You cannot use Digitrax throttles with the Bachmann DCC system. If you want to go Digitrax then you would need to replace the EZ Command with a Digitrax system like the Zephyr Xtra, and then you could add all the Loconet items you want - throttles, block detection, signals, whatever.

I am thinking about getting digitrax loconet but i have a bachmann easy command controller so will the bachmann controller support one or two digitrax handheld controllers without a booster?
