Searched the forum and found nothing. I have two, 1and 1/2 year old Atlas RS3's and two, twenty or more year old Atlas RS3's. Looking for advice on which decoder to use. I know there will be possible hard wiring and or machining on all of them but need some Mfg. part numbers to consider and any advise for taking on this operation. Am still in the middle of my rebuild of the old 25 year old layout but always nice to get the brain thinking ahead. Any replies always appreciated. Doug
TCS has a wide range of decoders for N scale locos.

The older ones, if they are the Kato ones without circuit boards, will probably need a milled frame, there are a couple of companies that do this, on an exchange basis sometimes so you don't even have to wait long.
