Hello. hoping somone can help me with a problem I'm having with one of my decoders. I'm using an NCE Power Cab. The problem I'm having is when when I'm trying to reprogram the decoder to the long address acts like it accepts the address change but wont run. No lights or any motor hum.But when I'm in pregramming mode I can hear the motor twich a little. My other engine which is a MTH SD70ace works fine. I'm using a MRC 1834 Decoder.
Use this calculator

to figure out the values needed for CV17, CV18, and CV29 based on the address you are trying to use. The program the individual CVs.

traindude,
I had a similar problem programming BLI locomotives on my programming track. After you set the long address and put your Power Cab back into operating mode to test it on the programming track, shut down your layout and start it again. It should then work just fine for you.
Let me know if that solves your problem or not...
