Just wanted to say "Thank You" !
Posted by mobilman44 on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 6:55 AM

Good Morning !

I noticed that I was at my 3,000th post, and thought it would be a most excellent time to say "Thank You" to the folks on this Forum (you know who you are) who have guided me through the transition to DCC.

The concept, jargon, processes and trouble shooting of DCC was not easy for this long term DC guy to absorb.  But you all were always there with answers and guidance and advice whenever I asked for help.   And frankly, without the existence of this Forum, and your help, I doubt that I would have made the jump.

I really enjoy DCC, and am having a lot of fun running trains (as opposed to powering track).   And one important thing I've learned is that one can make DCC as simple - or as complicated - as they wish.

Thanks again!

ENJOY  !

Hey Bill,

I'm glad you are enjoying DCC.  And you are correct; you can make it as simple or as complicated as you want to.  (The same holds true for DC - to some extent.)

With anything in the hobby of ours, the best approach is a willingness to try and learn - even if you make a mistake.  Makes you wonder how many modelers miss out on things that they would have enjoyed had they given it a try.  With that said, I even have a couple of things I need to do along those lines.  LOL!

Hey, good for you.  DCC is a blast and arguably my favorite part of the hobby.  Not sure if I have ever spouted any drivel in your direction that might have been construed as helpful in anyway?  But one thing for sure there are some folks here that really know their stuff.

Your welcome.

Glad to help. Knowledge should be shared and not sold or bought. Pay it forward they say.
