Crossing Signals - Bells
Posted by richhotrain on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 12:50 PM

I have a series of Tomar Industries operating crossing signals (862B), but no gates.

The signals are activated by NCE BD20 occupancy detectors, and the signals alternate flashing red lights through the use of Circuitron Alternating Flashing Circuits (FL-1).

But, alas, there is no sound, no bells.

Can you give me some recommendations for bell circuits so that I can add sound to my crossings?

Thanks.

I believe Circuitron has a bell circuit or two in their catalog. At least one uses a real bell, not a digitized sound. Logic Rail's Grade Crossing Pro controller has a bell option available for it as well, which might work with the Circuitron controller.
