Im new like many with Dcc,,,,,my first week everything was going well , running up to 4 locos, one with sound, until two days ago, i was changing buttons on the power cab for a genesis loco, now it does not run, the motor hums very lightly, and the lights are on in reverse when its supose to go foward. when i try to re program either in long, or short i still get the same thing, although tonight it did manage to start moving but only when the throttel was on full. I cannot make heads or tales out of the trouble i got myself into . The other three locomotives are working just fine, no issues,,,, its only the genesis that will not work, it is new, and has given me no troubles up until i changed one of the settings . can anyone help me correct this. thanks.

Misleading title because your problem is most likely not the Power Cab. In all likelihood you have messed up the programming of the decoder in the Genesis unit. I would do a program reset on the decoder. Is it a factory installed decoder or one you installed afterwards? Here is a web site that may provide some guidance. http://www.tonystrains.com/technews/dec_rescue.htm The key is to know the decoder. The documentation with the decoder or the loco should tell you the reset procedure.

I agree with Simon, Rick. Perform a decoder reset and you should be good to go.
However, before you do that, Rick - with your Power Cab on - press the EXPN key and see what numbers come up on the screen. It should look something like this:
The first line shows F1-F14 and the 2nd line show F15-F28. If there is a number present then the function is "on". My guess is with all the button pushing you did, you inadvertently turned on some functions. To get out of that screen, press the EXPN key again.
Anyhow, try the decoder reset.
