I am starting to set up my Holiday village and was looking for a holiday DCC train set. Does anyone know if they sell a train set with a DCC locomotive or am I better off putting a locomotive and cars together myself?

I think Bachmann makes a few sets that the locomotives are DCC equipped, but in my opinion - if you want something you will run well past the holidays, building your own set will give you more flexibility and satisfaction over your expenditure. I imagine if you are cozy with your LHS, buying a bunch of your gear in one place might be able to get them to install the DCC boards in your purchase to save the trouble.
