PVC rain gutter downspout brackets from Home Depot. They were something like 25 cents each a few years ago.
Velcro strips with adhesive backing work great. I've got Lenz 100 and 90 throttles, each with Velcro backings, and I've got Velcro strips on many of the layout legs, so I can put the throttles just about anywhere. 6 years or so, and they still work fine.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
I simply use a neodymium magnet glued to the back of the throttle. I also glue one to the fascia of the layout. These magnets are strong enough to hold the throttles up. They also don't protrude like throttle pockets.
I got the magnets for $2.00 at Harbor Freight for 10 of them.
