Put it on the program track.  Set CV08 to 008.  That will reset the decoder to the factory defaults, including the address 3.  Then program it any way you like.

 The standard is 03. This is what all new decoders should come programed with. Not knowing what DCC system you have I can not give you specifics on how to program your loco. This is all information that is contained in the owners manual.

Hello, I have just started with DCC. I have a engine with a digitrax decoder in it allready, purchased used. I do not know what address it was programed with, is there a way to reset this? I tried the engine number allready too.
