Try the Digitrax DZ125. It's a Z Scale decoder that's robust enough for HO equipment. I have four of them. Two in a pair of BB F7's and two in a pair of Proto 2000 E units. They work very well.

Dixitrax decoders in Athearn SW-7s

I have a few Athearn SW-7s that I need to upgrade to DCC.  I installed a Dixitrax 163AT kit in one model, it worked but was a very tight fit.  Is there a better decoder for Athearn SW-7s?  I am using the old blue box models.
