I got a real simple question for you. I'm going to get, sometimes later this year, a NCE DCC system, how do you wire it? Since I can not buy an American power supply and use it here I must buy a Swedish one. But, when looking at the NCE website I can't find a 100% answer, but my guess is that it's just two naked wires going from the power supply to the DCC system, somewhere between 12-18 AC and 5 amps. Am I right?

Yes, there's a wall wart (transformer) that powers the command station. The track wires then run from the command station to your track bus.
Under your particular circumstances, Magnus, I would contact NCE directly and ask them what particular transformer you need, being in Sweden. They are really a helpful bunch there. You may need to wait till Monday in order to get ahold of them though.

I will e-mail them tomorrow to find out. I was mostly keen on knowing if it was just to ires since that makes it a lot easier to find a transformer in Sweden. My Roco DCC system uses a one of a kind connection between the transformer and the DCC station. That is why I wasn't sure.
I bought a Digitrax wall transformer (PS315?) to power my NCE Smart Booster (SB3). (I use a Power Cab.) The connection end of the transformer came with the connectors already on it. All I did was snip them off and hooked them directly to the wire jack at the rear of the SB3.

It will probably look similar to this on the Powerhouse Pro command station, except I think it's on the front panel instead of the rear.

I think the correct answer to your question is what you have already stated... 12-18 VAC and 5 amps. This assumes that you are getting the PowerHousePro. The two other responses you got above assume, I think, that you are getting the PowerCab. This uses the wall transformer-type power supply. The 5 amp system requires something more substantial.

No, I understood by the figures given that Magnus was looking at the Powerhouse Pro system, with comes with a separate command station, booster, and throttle. I was only using the Power Cab as an example.

Yup, gotchya. I saw his figures also, but the two responses mentioned the wall transformers, so I just wanted to make sure he was going down the right track, I mean path.
Thanks for the additional info guys and "saving" me from any problems. You are all right. It's the big set I'm gonna get as soon as I can. I will need to check for a big power supply.
I should have specified exactly what system I was after but you guys seems to have figured it out anyways.

I have a ProCab. The power supply's specs are: 120VAC 60Hz > 15VAC 5A. I don't know if the difference in cycles, 60Hz here vs 50Hz there will affect the cpu of the command station, if at all.
