I'm wondering what decoder I use for a HHP-8 (it has an 8 pin plug) and for one of the firstAcela locos?

I don't know if it would fit but the TCS DP2X decoders are very good, you should measure how much space you have before buying the decoder though. If the DP2X doesn't fit look at some other TCS decoders.
Go NJT, NJ Transit, New Jersey Transit. Whatever you call it its good. See my pictures and videos here: http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff20/Bapouthetrainman/

A TCS MC2-sh should work just great. If the spectrum have the caps on the board then you will have to clip them. All my Spectrum are steamers and I had to clip the caps off the boards.

I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!

I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
