Many don't like the EZ because it is a basic and limited set.
I used it to A) get into DCC, and B) because it fit nicely in my budget, C) I could run one of my DC locos on it if I wanted easily.
I was only looking for simple and basic to get into DCC, and if I fried something, I wouldn't have lost much LOL. For now, it is all I need. When my layout "grows up" and I have more money to spend, I will most likely upgrade to a better system.
I also use some of the Bachmann "DCC OnBoard" locos...inexpensive to get me into DCC, and basic, and don't require conversion. They do serve me well for now.

After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
Hi loathar,
no doubt I am not right.
I confused the COMMAND with the DYNAMIS.
I only have read the name BACHMANN
I did not care about the name COMMAND
Thanks for your hint.

I used mine as an entry level into DCC. Really liked the price at the time and how easy it was to use. Now I use a MRC prodigy express. Still have the Bachmann DCC and use it as a back up or when my 2 yr old wants to run trains.

Bob,
No, you didn't do anything wrong. Whether someone "acknowleges" the Bachmann E-Z Command as a DCC system or not - like Loathar - it's still more fun than using DC. I had one for a year and enjoyed it very much.
Just enjoy your E-Z Command and learning more about DCC...

Thanks for your reply, based on what you wrote, I did the right thing. I am more interested in scenery, than 4 F's pulling 60 identical coal cars, (not that there's anything wrong with that), I just want an easy to do control system that my grandson and I can each run a train at the same time.
Thanks everyone.
I have one. I like it a heck of a lot better than straight DC. It IS a very limited system with no options for upgrades. (except a track power booster) You can run a few trains with it without having to bother with setting DC blocks on your layout. You can control some sound functions on a DCC sound loco with it. You CAN'T adjust how your loco runs or change sound settings with it. It really depends on what your planning to do with it. If you want a bunch of bells and whistles, it's the wrong system. It's not a bad starting point if your a newbie...
One nice feature is being able to run one DC loco while your running other DCC locos at the same time.
So I bought a Bachmann set up, then I bought the DCC book from M R written by Don Fiehmann. Even though he lists the features of the E Z Command, (appears he was forced to do so), in the rear of the book they don't even give Bachmann credit for being a manufacturer! Did I do something wrong, or is this only one mans' opinion?
