DCC projects & applications /Mike Polsgrove  ISBN 978-089024-645-0

The Digitrax big book of DCC  / Digitrax            ISBN 0-9674830-0-X

the  projects  and application although good  is  not  for  beginners  in DCC    but  useful once  you  get  into  the  hobby,  the  other  two  are  excellent  reference the  Digitrax  one as  far as  i know  is  out of  print  though  copies do  come  up on  ebay and  amazon and  can command  good  prices  (mine  was  $100)  though i wouldnt  be  without  it  paid  for  itself  very  quickly. 

The  other two are  kalmach  publicatons

It really depends on how complex your layout is.  If you have a small simple layout without blocks, then buying an NCE PowerCab and a DCC equipped loco should be all you need.  The manual with the PowerCab should be sufficient.

If you have a large layout with many blocks, you may need both a beginner and an advanced book.

Kalmbach books are gentle, they are actually so simple to read and understand , that you'll out grow them in a hurry. They are good for us DCC newbies.

does anyone know of any books that tell how to install a DCC system in everyday easy talk. One that is not so teck that it clouds your mind but one that is easy to read and understand.
