MRC power booster
Posted by dadret on Monday, July 21, 2008 2:06 PM
I know this has been asked before but I'll do it again.  I'm using an MRC Prodigy Advance DCC system.  When I divide the layout into power districts and add a power booster do I have to use the MRC booster or can I use another manufacturers?  The MRC boosters seem to be very susceptible to damage if you hook something up wrong (don't ask me how I know).

CVP Products of Richardson, Texas, makers of the EasyDCC system, have a product called the Zone Master, a booster which they claim can be used with almost any DCC system.

I have no experience with either product, so I can't say whether it really works with an MRC sytem or not.

You could phone or e-mail CVP and find out from them.  MRC would probably tell you that only one of their boosters can be used because they want you to buy their product.
