Replacement needed for my MRC sound decoder
Posted by sparkyjay31 on Sunday, July 13, 2008 11:45 AM

I'm looking for suggestions.  I need to replace my MRC sound decoder.  I bought a Roundhouse 4-4-0 with dcc and sound before I knew better.  Yes, I'm a newbie.

Is there a good quality sound decoder out there that you would suggest (manufacturer and item number)?  I'd prefer a plug and play if that is possible.  My soldering leaves alot to be desired.  And I have no clue what each red, white, blue, green, etc. color wire means.

I like this little engine, and it runs find on dc.  I know it's not the running gear.  I've tried everything to get this decoder to work properly.

Help!?
