Quick answer - yes.

For short connectors (like rail-to-bus drops) #22 wire can carry SEVEN amps.  I doubt that you could get enough locomotives onto a 4 foot length of track to need seven amps of power.  Assuming, that is, that your base station can provide it without popping a breaker.

i'm using this wire http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049742&cp=&sr=1&origkw=90-ft+wire&kw=90-ft+wire&parentPage=search

will it work for connecting ntrak's system of wireing the tracks to the 12 gauge wire?
