Posted by ndbprr on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 9:27 AM

Have an NCE power pro radio command station so the hand set is not plugged in.  What is the code to turn it on when starting and off at the end of the sesion.  thank you

There is no off.  It times out with in activity.    I find pressing the stop button twice turns it on as long as the base station is on.   And sees the signal from it

I believe that pressing the horn button is the trick to turning it on.

I called NCE and tech support said to start the hand held unit press the red emergency stop button.  To turn it off it will self turn off after ten minutes or press the expn button followed by the number 1 to save battery life.  To turn sound off press number 8 if you are going to run a different locomotive.

The other thing they said was the power pro uses an rs232 to usb cable to connect to a computer and NOT the usb external card if you want to use JMRI.  The usb card will not work with a power pro. The power pro is already set up and is plug and play for JMRI once you attach the cable.  Interesting.

The USB module is only for the Power Cab.

What USB card are you speaking of?

He's talking about the NCE USB adapter. The NCE USB adapter does technically work with the Power Pro, but it is very limited. You can only run trains - you can not do any decoder programming.
