What's everyone using?
I'm after a system that is all inclusive. I don't want to have to attach a laptop to my layout, have anyone in charge of signals or deal with any of that. I want an automated red, yellow, green light system that performs flawlessly and automatically.
What are all of you guys using for systems and what do you recommend? So far my top choice has been working with Kevin Rudko at Signal Logic Systems up north. They design and get the system all working and you just install it!
Ok, opinions and your likes.....GO!

I built my own signal system. My first was a Robert Pasiley circuit about 20 years ago, worked great. I replaced it with an Arduino about 5 years ago, it also works great.About two years ago I replaced the current occupancy detection with optical and love it. I never liked the current type detection because of having to put resistors on the wheels of all my cars.My Pasiley System.https://melvineperry.blogspot.com/p/page-17.htmlMy Arduino Systemhttps://melvineperry.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_49.html Mel My Model Railroad http://melvineperry.blogspot.com/ Bakersfield, California I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.

I use MSS:

It does what you're talking about, which is called ABS (Automatic Block Singaling) in the real railroad world.
With MSS there are no computers. You don't have to have resistor wheel sets (though there's no reason you can't). It takes care of itself, as far as operational logic.
If you pay attention to your signals, you will not rear-end another train. IF.

I use Dallee Trak-DT current detectors with 1000 Ohm resistors on all wheelsets. The detectors operate Rock Island-style TP-5 signals in ABS. I have a set of crossovers and switches to a siding/yard lead that I can control from a CTC panel I designed and built. It works flawlessly and I am happy with it.
