Digitrax reverse loop relay AR1

The terminals on this relay are very small and my stripped wirs will not stay in.  Any suggestions how to attach my wres to these terminal screws?

Maybe your wire is too small, the AR1 carries the full current of the track.  I would use #20 as the smallest wire and the terminals on the AR1 will easily hold #20 wire.

Encase I miss understood your problem and you have say #12 wire that won’t fit into the connectors make a short pigtail of #18 between the larger wire and the connector.

I recall that my 16AWG bus stranded wire would not fit in my NCE booster output, IIRC.  It was either that or the 3 OGCB/OG-AR circuit breakers downstream.

The bus wire was stranded, so I cut off strands until it fit, not a huge percentage.  I may have soldered the stripped end for a bit of added strength.  Mel's short pigtail would have been easier, but that was too obvious for me to conclude.

I used a U connector and cut one leg off.  Worked.

I "tin" all stranded wire connections that will go to screw terminals.  And I did this on my AR1.
