I really hate to respond this way, but would it be possible for you to use caps and punctuation for us old geezers?  13 hours with no reply probably means nobody feels they can help you, quite possibly because reading and comprehending your situation is simply too difficult.

Have you followed an instruction or a video to do this?  You'll have to confirm each step. Also, contact the decoder sellers and ask them for help.

Welcome to the forum.  Intial posts have to go through moderation so maybe your post didn't appear as fast as Selector would have liked.

We don't see much discussion of Piko and Lenz and as you are using both, English may not be your first language.  Usually we can deal with that, but run on sentences make it especially hard.

That said, we have no idea what contollers you are using.  There is no Pike Light on the Piko webpage, but there is this  https://www.piko-america.com/collections/piko-smartcontrol/products/55016-smartcontroller-light-ho-n-tt-scale

No idea what the more expensive one is.

Well of course the standard answer to many decoder issues is "do a factory re-set and see what happens". The instructions for each decoder should explain how to do that; it usually is just changing a CV to a specific number and then removing the engine from power for a moment.

And of course, if the lights don't go on and the engine runs in reverse when you want it to go forward, you put the decoder in the wrong way around. Remove, rotate 180 degrees, and plug it back and try the engine again.

Thank you wjstix for your reply. I have checked that the chip is in the right way (orange wire to pin number1).

The decoders I have are German so it’s taking awhile to go through the instructions. Two seem to be working and I am not having any luck with 2 which have the lenz chip.
I am very sure that it is something I am doing but just not sure what. Having 2 types of controllers is not helping I will have to with on at some point I know.
Is it possible to insert pictures into a post I am not sure if that is allowed?
In reply to the first reply, I apologize for my poor grammar I surfed a stroke a couple of years ago and some of my skills are still working their way back. I tend to just act and not take care to see what I have done.
Any help is gratefully received. I am really keen to learn as much as I can, so I can start to develop my layout.
