Is there a way to load a sound package on a LokSound decoder without buying their programming gear? Someone bought me one of these decoders off my Walthers wishlist, and it arrived with their default German diesel sound package. I'd love to be able to use it, but I really don't feel like shelling out the equivalent cost of another sound decoder to be able to do it.
Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks!
Nope. So you need to find someone who has the programmer, or find a local shop that has one.
I got one 8 or 9 years ago, because after using a couple, I decided I would use only Loksound, and I've gotten rid of any other brand sound decoder I have. With nothing but Loksound, having the programmer is well worth it.

There ya go, Navy Man, send the decoder to Randy for programming.

If Randy doesn't have his Lokprogrammer set up I could easily do it for you as well. I load various sound projects all the time.
Send me a PM if you're interested and I can give you my address. I'm in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
