How to power up BDL168
Posted by Steffen1601 on Monday, August 3, 2020 9:21 AM

Hi All,

I am still a total newbie, so I need to ask another newbie question. I bought the Digitrax Evolution Express starter kit that comes with the DCS210+. I also wanbt to install ther BDL 168 (along with the Acculite breakout board). My question is: How do I add power to the BDL168? Does it come from the DCS210+ or do I need a separate power supply just for powering the BDL168?

Thanks!!!

I figured it out. I am using a PX14 and a pigtail to connect to the board.

Another thing to keep in mind is the Ground wire.  Note that this is not House Ground (like the 3rd plug on your wall outlet).  This is a Ground to the DB booster and DCS brain.  You must connect all BDL's to the DCS brain Ground connection.

Also, Digitrax recommends that you always power up your DCS command station first, then power up the accesories like DB's, BDL's, UR's, etc.
