I just installed a new Digitrax DB210 Power Booster to power/isolate the 9 track staging yard. Installation when smoothly as expected and no issues yet but for one, and it's not a major one. When I power up the layout the booster defaults to Track Power ON, though the DCS100 is track power OFF. I can turn track power OFF and the booster responds. It's just that it defaults to ON when I power up. Is there a way to get it in synch with the DCS100? Thanks all!
I did some research and found option switches 33 and 34 might correct this. Unfortunately these option switches don’t exist in the newer db210 booster like the db150 had. So, giving up, I sent my problem to the Digitrax Help Desk just now
Interesting, there was a recent post on the NCE list from someone converting from Digitrax, still using his Digitrax boosters, his DB150s all come up with track power on, but his DB210 doesn't, and he can;t turn the track power on fron an NCE throttle.

Digitrax reponded today (very nice customer service, as always). It seems all their boosters default to track power on at power up. Kind of interesting to me, can't follow the logic. My DCS100 (command station) defaults to track power off at power up. I don't get the inconsistancy. As my original post stated, not a big issue. In fact the only issue is I often power up the layout so I can utilize the lighting underneath to work on wiring, etc. I don't want the under layout staging yard to have track power so that I don't cause shorts with tools, etc. No biggie, just turn track power off then go to work. But I don't understand why command stations default to power off (though you can use option switches to change that) and boosters default to power on (and you can not use option switches to change that). Oh well, there's bigger problems in this world!
A lot of people had the problem with the old default of power off when they tried to turn the track power on, it went to standby, not on (the flashing track power dot - sounds start, lights come on, but you can't control anything, no DCC commands get sent). Easier I suppose to make is power up in the on and ready to go state. But it does seem to need more than just a signal on Railsync to come up with power on, because the NCE guy has the control bus hooked to railsync as you do when mixing systems, and his DB150s come up power on, but the DB210 does not.
