Power ON@startup Question - Multiple Boosters
Posted by Arto on Saturday, March 23, 2019 6:18 PM

I have a Digitrax setup with DB150 Command Station/Booster and DB210 Booster. I'm also using JMRI.

The DB210 was added recently.

When I turn on power to the layout (via a power strip/switch of which the DB150 & DB210 &  PS2012 are connected to), the DB210 turns on immediately while the DB150 remains off until I turn power on via either the throttle or JMRI.

Is there some setting I have to change on the DB210 to have it power on "normally" (like the DB150)?

Clarification:

By "power" I mean power to the track.

The DB150 doesn't provide power to the track until I turn it on using the throttle or JMRI while the DB210 is providing power to the track immediately.

I don't know anything about the DB210, or how it's connected to the DB150, but I use the DB150, and you always have to use the throttle to turn track power on and off.

I have three DB150 boosters connected to my DCS200. You can use option switches to select if you want the track power on or off at startup:

http://www.digitrax.com/tsd/KB265/db150-option-switch-setup/

Option switch 33 is probably the one you want to change. It has been several years since I set mine and I don't exactly recall. The Digitrax manual only lists four option switches for the DB210. This doesn't make sense to me.

Good Luck, Ed

Correct. And none of them have anything to do with Track Power ON/OFF.

When I turn Track Power OFF using the throttle or JMRI all track power turns OFF (both boosters). But when turning on power to the layout the DB210 turns on track power immediately (Power Indicator on throttle and JMRI shows Power OFF).
