Problem with a new DT4

I have been using a Digitrax Evolution system for about 6 months now and although I still don't understand all of the customization features, I have been running several locos without any problem. I just purchased a UT4 throttle for some of my grandchildren to use, and I cannot get it to work. The included instructions are quite simple, and I get the green light when I select the proper loco address. But the throttle will not operate the loco. I then dispatch the loco using the UT4 and gain control with my DT500 throttle, and the loco works fine. Digitrax has recommended resetting the DCS210, which I have done several times, but that doesn't solve the problem. It appears that both the UT4 and the DCS210 are able to recognize the decoder, but the loco will only work when using the DCS500. I use the 2 digit address option and no matter which loco (0001, 0080, etc.) I attempt to operate with the UT4, the loco doesn't seem to receive any signal (no headlight, no movement, etc.). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

 Which UT4 did you get, a UT4, UT4R, or UT4D?

To clarify, the same address is being used, correct? You are trying address 80 on the UT4 (setting the dials to 0080 is correct) and it dosn't work, but using the DT500 and entering 80 for the address DOES work? 

(I know someone is going to jump in here, but on Digitrax, ALL addresses 127 and lower are short addresses, the throttle will not send long address commands to an address under 128, so there is no chance of the loco actually being long address 80, it just isn't allowed on Digitrax)

This does seem to be a strange one, the green light means it accepted the address on the UT4 and it wasn;t already in use on another throttle. I can see the speed knob not working if you forgot to flip the direction toggle one way or the other, but the functions should work.

 Are you plugging right in to the DCS210 or do you have a UP5 that you are plugging in to? Try plugging in right to the DCS210 just to eliminate the chance of any other wiring fault. In fact, try plygging into exactly the same jack that the DT500 works in, so you know for an absolutel fact you are connecting to a working jack.

 Also else fails, you may have just gotten a dud, and it needs to go back. There is nothing specific about a DCS210 that would keep a UT4 from working as a throttle - even my ancient DT100 should work on a DCS210.
