Kato just made all my dreams come true

Kato has a new product that is right up my alley for what might be the best DC train controller ever.

.

I really hope the sound is good, and I can run that "Line Out" conector to my amplifier and shake the house with train sounds.

.

.

This could be amazing.

Cool Kevin.... you can put some wireless speakers in your bedroom and let your train run in the basement on creep mode all night so you sleep betterLaughLaugh

I have seen this in my Walthers catalog. It has got my curiosity up, if you get one let us know about it.

I'm immediately reminded of the elaborate Pacific Fast Mail sound system from the Eighties.

Several others have had various types, MRC also. The Kato system seems pretty decent to have "smartphone" control for a DC layout. I used to have the AristoCraft Engineer that was a wireless walkaround for DC. It was my favored throttle before jumping into DCC. Kato had a didital system back in the late eighties, too.

Good Luck, Ed

Here's the old one I was looking at a while back in my Walthers catalog. I heard they were coming out with more sound cartridges. This old one ran in link with any power pack. I like the idea of running trains from your smart phone

I will get one, but it will be at least a year. This will be something that will not be purchased until the "Port Annabel" portion of the layout is operational.

.

I am excited about this product.

As long as you like touch screen throttle control. I've tried it. Meh. In a pinch it's doable but a knob is what I prefer.

I would also prefer a knob, but I really want wireless DC, and a good sound system. NOT onboard sound, but room filling sound through wall speakers.

.

Kato delivers 2 out of three.

.

If that company that makes the EMD cab throttle for DCC makes a blue tooth throttle for the Kato system I might just die from happiness.
