DCC + Sound in a Blue Box GP38-2

I am looking to install  a TCS WoW Sound decoder on their RTR-MB1 motherboard.  It looks like it has the top Athearn motor clip soldered to the bottom of the motherboard.  Is this the same motor clip that is top of a blue box motor?

Yes, if I'm getting your question right.  Just be carefull removing the excisiting Athearn clip, so you don't loose the brush springs.

I'm not sure if the clip on the decoder will fit over the excisting Athearn clip.  Ususally you have to remove the excisitng.
