hello, can anybody tell me how I can get a wireless sound receiver that fits inside the train car so the sounds come from the train, it also holds a battery, presently I have a wired speaker from the soundmaster 210 system that sits on top of the platform, , this was made in 1995 as the instruction booklet says on the last page for a copyright date, thanks you for any information,
thank you for letting me join this train community
Modeltronics made on board steam and diesel sound units way back when, but they haven't been produced in many years. These days, onboard sound in smaller scales is pretty much the realm of DCC. Some will work on DC, but there is limited control of the sounds and the loco responds to the throttle much differently than a loco without a decoder installed.
