Hello, I just installed a SDH166D on my alco 430 pemco engine. But when I tried to load my sounds on to it it gave me this error: sfx decoder does not support SDF-ver2 download. I am usine Digitrax's PR3 modual. am i doing some this wrong?
That would indicate you are using a sound file not meant for that decoder. The SDH is an 8 bit decoder, you can only use 8 bit sound projects. If you are trying to load John McMaster's C420 file, that's why you are getting the error. The SDXH166 is a 16 bit decoder and could use that file. ANd worth the extra couple of bucks.

Oh ok, is there a 8bit sound mod for that engine? Or is there other sites I can visit for them?
There's an 8 bit one for an RS-32, probably the closest they have. All sounds are in the Sound Depot, or they are supposed to be. There's a DigitraxSound Yahoo Group that might have others.
