HO scale Bowser Executive Line F7A
Posted by NILE on Sunday, July 31, 2016 11:53 PM

I just got my Bowser F7A, and I tried to install my 8-pin DCC and it wouldn't fit.  Then I find in the on line instructions (that did not come in the box) that Bowser highly recommends a 21-pin DCC decoder.  I have never used 21-pin.  Is there a specific decoder that works with this engine?  It does not have sound and I don't plan on upgradeing it to sound.  I am not familure with 21-pin decoders so I would appreciate any information.

TCS has a nice selection of 8 pin to 21 pin adapter cables.

The 21 pin is becoming quite popular as all of the sound/light function outputs are on one plug.

TCS also makes a 21 pin decoder, TCS EU621X.

ESU (Loksound) also makes a non-sound 21 pin decoder called their Lokpilot which features the same great motor control as their Loksound decoders.
