LokSound program problem
Posted by woodone on Sunday, June 12, 2016 11:04 AM

Running windows 10 and using lokSound programer with 4.4.23 software. Trying to program a Select Micro decoder with the 73477 sound file.

Open programer and select complete update. The programmer will start to program and after two to three minunts it comes back and tells me that the decoder is no supported? I have deleted the sound file once and reloaded and that did not change anything.

Any ideas?

I believe that there is a menu choice to upgrade the decoder software.

Try that, and then try again to load your file.

Maybe some one could point it out for me> I have looked and don't see any decoder updates.

Thanks

Thanks, I did that and there was no change.

So I removed the loco from programming track- took to bench and tested with a Power Cab It Showed 255 when I tried the std program- That is not right I thought so I moved the decoder and tried again- showed 153 (mfg code) so then I tried to run and it did- so back to the ESU programmer- worked this time- So somthing was shorting in the loco This is an N scale Atlas SD35 so there is not a lot of room to fit things into. I have remounted the decoder and will see how well it works once it is done programming. Thanks for the iinput.
