cell phone control vs mfg systems

I use nothing but used, old, dirt cheap cell phones for wireless control on my layout. All powered by a $35 Raspberry Pi and a Sprog 3. After operating on layouts with every major DCC system, I can honestly say I enjoy my setup the best. And it was a fraction the cost of any of the others.

An update to my remarks: I'm finding that having to look at the cell phone is making my response time less than desirable.
