Help Please.. I am hooking up my system since I have moved. The digitrax components were working fine then. The problem is that I am using the digitrax 100 as command station, but when I go to hook up the db150 as a booster, the power doesn't want to stay on for the db150. I have hooked the wiring up as it should be,with separate wires for both units with the track being double insulated where the db150 is to work. It is when I hook up the jumper wire to make the db150 a booster ,that the problem starts. As long as I don't turn the system off. the train will run the whole circuit. Only where I have a controller hooked up such as the dcs 100 can I control the train. The db150 block will run the train but no train control. Then if i put it on the db150 side, I have train control on that side but not the dcs100 side. Then if I shut the system off and turn it back on, the db150 power just blinks and I have no power. I have to remove the jumper and turn the system back on and the db150 will then stay on. I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
What are you using for a 'LocoNet' cable between the DCS100 and the DB150? A standard telephone extension cable will give you the problem you are describing. The cable should look like this:
Phone cables have the 'tab' at the top on both ends. The interesting thing is that using phone cables between UP5's is not a problem. The boosters can make a difference!

I haven't gotten that far in wiring. Right now I am using the 400 controller plugged into the system.

Well that's your problem right there. You have to have a Loconet cable between the DCS100 and the DB150 to use the DB150 as a booster. When you are powering the DB150 up without the jumper, it is powering up as a command station and will run. When you power it up with the jumper it powers up as a booster, but since it has no connection to a command station it shuts off track power.
Oh! Okay I'll will do that. I am sorta new at this and I appreciate the help you have given me. Thanks..
