i want to change a dead NCE D15SRP Decoder for a TCS T1. Can I use the 9-pin to 8-pin plug that came with the NCE Decoder?

Yes, you can. Just unplug the NCE decoder and plug the T1 into the harness.
Guy.
I have to ask. What happened to the NCE decoder and can it happen to the TCS decoder? Why toast two decoders for problem in a loco?
Pete
I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
Cacole,
Thank you for the information.
Pete,
Here is the link to a previous post I sent few months ago:

I will be happy if you can help.
Im sorry but the question still remains. What fried the original decoder? Decoders do not fry on their own after being in service after awhile. A bad decoder will imediatly fry the instant it is powered. Something had to cause the failure. Too much amp draw and bad instalation are the most common.
