Only difference is the momentum and braking. Both have the same power output and everything else - notice on the top of the page they say ALL Tech 7's have Accutech, but don't mention it in the blurb for the 700 and do for the 760.
What is Accutech? Only MRC knows. They have this need to make up names for standard technologies so they sound better. Need to put a scope onthe output and see just what theya re doing - something new, or just a new name for the same old stuff.

I would go with the 700. The 760 is too much voltage for ho / n scale. I have no idea about the pulse scheduling . If it is too aggressive, the motor will buzz

What you got was once top of the line. That being said I have not seen the need to upgrade to anything beyond the Tech 2 line, they offer fancy words but I don't see any performance improvements.
