I use a Digitrax DCC system for my N-Scale layout. I have several DS52 stationary decoders for turnout control. I am buillding a new layout and I will have a couple of places where I will have a crossover from one track to another. I will be using Atlas Code 80 Snap track turnouts. Since both turnouts will be opened or closed in unison with each other I am wondering if I could put both turnouts on one channel of the DS52? Is there enough power from one channel to throw 2 switches at once? Or do I have to stick with only one switch for each channel?

The DS52 throws two switch machines seperately, but you should be able throw two double ended switches for a total of four machines. I have a DS64 decoder and it is supposed to throw four switches, but I use it to throw two double ended switches and two single switches for a total of six machines.
I have no experience with the DS52, but I have 8 DS64s and they throw 2 at a time with ease. In fact I have one that throws 3.
