REVERSE LOOP WIRING DIAGRAM USING MTH, DCS DCC SYSTEM
Posted by SouthProT on Sunday, July 27, 2014 7:49 AM

I'M BUILDING A NEW LAYOUT AFTER SEVERAL YEARS AWAY FROM THE HOBBY.  BEING AN OLD DC CAB CONTROL OPERATOR, I HAVE STARTED USING MTH'S DCS SYSTEM AND FIND IT TO BE WONDERFUL SO FAR.  CAN ANY OF YOU GIVE ME SOME INFO ON THE BEST WAY TO WIRE A REVERSE LOOP SECTION USING DCC.  ALL TURNOUTS ARE PECO INSLUFROG.  THE DCS SYSTEM HAS NO REVERSE LOOP OPTION.  ANY INFO WILL BE MOST APPRECIATED

Call MTH and ask them if a DCC autoreversing unit will work.  I cannot imagine why it would not.

Failing that the good old standard DPDT switch will work just fine.

P.S.  Turn caps off when posting, it is hard to read.

I see you are new here. You do not have to yell. Thanks.

I'm confused.  Your other post said you were using DCC, and this one says DCS.  They are two completely different systems, although some DCS engines will run on DCC.  The reverse is not true - no DCC engines will run on DCS.

So, please tell us.  Are you using DCC or DCS?
