Welcome To The Forums.

Are they post 1964 "Hornby", or up to 1964 "Hornby Dublo".  They are quite different turnout products Idea

Any turnout will work on DCC as long as it is properly modified.

To the best of my knowledge, all Hornby turnouts are power routing, but the older Hornby turnouts have plastic frogs and the newer ones have metal frogs. Presumably, the newer Hornby turnouts with metal frogs are live, not dead, and if that is the case, you will need to gap some rails to prevent shorts when the points are thrown.

Where are our Hornby experts?

Paul,

You must have missed the part about power routing on that site. That is a Hornby Forum.

Do what Rich suggested those are Electro-Frog turnouts with metal frog and gap/insulate both rails after the frog end. All turnouts are DCC friendly if installed properly.

Do a little more navigating on that site, you can even ask questions. Unless they changed it.
