Hi, I was programming some stuff and after I finished, the start-up of the locomotive disappeared. The loco is an HO Scale Athearn Genesis SD60M with MRC sound. It works perfectly fine except for the missing startup sounds. It just goes to idle right away. I already reset the decoder with CV 125 but It doesn't do anything. It still has the shut down sounds. Any ideas?

Did you perform the CV 125 = 1 on the programming track? If so, try main line programming.
MRC decoders are known to have programming problems.

I have done all my programming on the main with my Digitrax Zephyr Xtra. Can I program it on the program track? I thought the Zephyr system needed a booster for that.
I have no experience with any Digitrax product, but main line programming puts more amperage on the track than using a programming track, regardless of the DCC system you're using. Just make sure no other locomotives are anywhere on the layout or they're all likely to get programmed.
And as I mentioned earlier, MRC decoders are known to have problems in trying to program and/or reset them, and a programming booster is of no help.
